The Music of My Life

Music is essential to life because it is like Breathing. It's rhythmic, it's Melodic, it's Harmonious Sound... even if it can't be heard. It is in all life throughout the cosmos. If we stray too far from that, we die. If you understand this you can sense music everywhere. You can sense rhythms, melodies and harmonies in pleasant conversations, in beautiful works of art, in breathtaking natural wonders, in smiles and laughter. The Persian Poet Hafiz wrote..."All movement is a wondrous language, and Music... such exquisite wild Music"!

I sing and play the guitar. My music is the expression of the nature in me... and all the encoding of my family, my country, my heritage, my childhood and my joys and sorrows. When I can say to myself I am not the performer, the physical body, but I am the music the spirit... then is when I am transcended to another place and time where fear does not exist... only the music. If worry and ego enters the picture, I am only in the finite world and have forsaken the bliss of the infinite... even if it's only temporally.

About Me...

I am a singer and a songwriter, and I take my role as a planetary citizen very seriously. I am passionate about the breathtaking beauty of our earth and it's inhabitants. From the time I was a child, I've always been aware of the interconnectedness of all things. I have studied Native American Medicine and other indigenous peoples methods of healing, both inside and outside university classrooms. I am, also, a student of life. And, through the many experiences I've had, several have taught me very valuable lessons . On several occasions, I've had the unique opportunity to become a guide and teacher to others because of what I've learned. In 1990, I facilitated Earth Day Activities at a State Univeristy Of New York Campus.

Even though I've performed music for both small and large audiences, at this point in time... my inspirations, ideas, and energy are being spent almost exclusively on my concerns about the survival of the people, plants and animals of this planet. Now... I am focusing my music on helping others become more aware of Nature and the Beauty of Our Earth.
